Juicy is the Shanghai style "soup" dumplings with the meat swimming inside a pocket of pork soup within the skin of the dumplings.
Garlic Noodles, chicken wings with sweet sauce, shrimp fried rice, and crispy egg rolls all were delicious! Best in the East Bay for sure. Very busy with steady customers.
My go-to spot in Alameda for beef noodle soup! I also highly recommend the egg tofu. This place is consistently good, except the last time I went, the food came out only warm, which was a bit disappointing.
Great Chinese eatery in Alameda! Many great dishes are to be recommended.
Very good location in downtown Alameda, the food is very good. however the inside looks very old.
Excellent food and very generous portions. Their signature dish is their hand-pulled noodles, which you can actually watch being made if you show up early at either 1130am or 5pm. There is a glass-enclosed segment of the kitchen that is visible from the dining area which allows you to see the noodles being made by hand in the traditional Chinese style.
Juicy dumplings were great. Deep fryer must have been up too high most pieces were a bit dark and you could taste the oil. Walls need to be scrubbed. They are spotted with food. Garlic noodles smelled amazing from another table.
The three dishes we tried were pretty good. The dumplings' skin were not too thick and the hand pulled noodles were really good! I love congee/porridge and theirs were made exactly to my liking.
I used to go here just to watch the guy make hand pulled noodles :) It tastes good, but I think it takes a special talent to make noodles simply by pulling the dough :)
I was there for noodles and dumplings. The noodles were hand pulled noodles. Good food reasonable price.
Umm super good. We really enjoyed this place. Great service and excellent foodserved hot and fresh. Highly recommend this place.
The hand pulled noodles are really good. Often a sleepy little place to get food during the day but it picks up at night.
Over cooked beef in my soup bok choy not chopped thrown in whole cucumber peanut sauce watery horrible food. Spent $18. Sorry but horrible prep & food. Don't waste your money here
Love this place. The best juicy pork dumplings, moo shu pork and seafood sizzling rice soup around. Seating is a little tight here but the food makes it worth it.
I visit this place a lot since I work close by. I have to say the service is always awesome and they keep the place well organized all the time. Pricing is affordable and they serve large portions.
I had a pleasant but not exceptional experience.
One of my main places to grab some food. excellent location, always clean, and very good service. Keep it up!
This spot is worth a visit. They serve big portions for reasonable rates. Always well kept and with awesome ambience. Will visit here again.
Does it get any better than this!?
The food is regularly fresh and yummy, cashiers hands over excellent customer service. I really like how clean it is and ambience. Would recommend to others.
Good food and very consistent. One of my regular places to go.
Truly, the best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. Highly recommend the beef noodle soup. It was bliss in a bowl
Excellent seafood noodle soup with fresh, made to order, hand pulled noodles. Good price. Restaurant however is very dirty looking an the fish tank has green water. Can't imagine why they don't take pride in the appearance of their restaurant and just give it a deep clean. *shrug*
Great selection of soups with hand pulled noodles, plus rice porridges. The menu at the restaurant offers a lot more options than what they list on the website.
Good quality food.
Best Chinese restaurant in Alameda. Certainly I'd you are into hand-pulled noodles, which are what you want to get when eating at this place.
Ark Chinese Restaurant is 1 of the best Chinese restaurants ever! Friendly staff, great food, etc. They will blow your mind away. I love their egg tofu, green beans, xiao long bao or soup dumplings, rice, chong yao bang or green onion pancakes, and chicken wings with special sauce. Go for takeout and you can't order the soup dumplings. I highly recommend it. :)
Food was good, and plentiful. Street parking can be a challenge.
Ordered a noodle soup to go, tasteless. While I'm waiting i heard waiter keep talking about other customers inside their kitchen. Will not come back
